Tara Crescent is one of my FAVORITE Authors because I know no matter what the subject matter, or, whether it's contemporary or science fiction, it will be a STEAMY read, and this book is proof positive of that. Melt your panties HOT! The chemistry between Asher, Wendy, and Hudson was combustible.
I am loving this series, Wagering on Wendy is the fourth book in the "Playing for Love" series, each book is based on one of the friends that meet each Monday night for their Thursday night get together...yes their Thursday Night meeting for drinks and gossip is held on Monday nights....strange but it works. I have loved getting to know each of the women and although each of the women pop up in all of the books each story can be read as a stand alone makes it easier for jumping into the series at any time.
Wendy is a divorce lawyer and from her upbringing she doesn't trust men very much, that being said, she is going to learn how to trust Asher and Hudson because the three of them are perfect together! Asher and Hudson have their own reasons for not putting their hearts on the line, Hudson was previously married to a gold digger, and Asher...poor Asher was in love with a client and he was heartbroken when she was no longer in the picture. To say that all three of them have had events in their lives that left them with a wall around their hearts would be an understatement, BUT, when the walls finally start to fall....its a wonderful thing to witness
Seduction is the first book that I have read by Calista Fox even though she has been writing since 2004, I'm not sure why that is but I am very glad I was given the opportunity to read and Advanced Readers Copy of this book.
Lily has been hired to be the personal butler for both Jax and Lex on a temporary basis. Lily is thrilled to be hired because not only can she use the money that she will be paid for this two month contract but she is also a fan of their music. It had never even occurred to Lily that there would be anything other than a professional relationship between them, but once each of the men meet Lily they are craving more of her, and she is fantasizing about both of them.
I really enjoyed the chemistry between Jackson (Jax) Sterling, Lily Hart, and Lexington (Lex) Alexander. While it took some time for their relationship to begin you could definitely feel the heat that was simmering just waiting to turn to a full boil.
WOW! This book took me on one heck of a ride, there were ups and downs, twists and turns, I never knew what was going to happen next.
This story picks up right where Bound Beneath His Pain left off, with Taylor standing at her best friend Allie's door, what she didn't expect is for Darius to be over visiting his sister, she is standing there soaking wet and bruised from a beating that her ex-boyfriend gave her looking right into the eyes of the man she had always wanted and had until he let her go.
I have to say that Darius was a bit hung up on their 10 year age difference for a while back when they were together years earlier, but he has finally seen the light and knew that she was always the one that got away. But the question is will he do what he needs to for her to be his again?
Off the Rails is the second book in the Border Patrol Series by Jill Sorenson, and in my opinion you really should read the first book Caught in the Act that way you have the backstory of how Ian and Maria met and what happened while they were together before the beginning of this book....which I unfortunately hadn't. That being said I was able to follow along without a problem but I think having the back story would have given me more as far as the characters relationship and the chemistry between them.
Most of this book took place while riding on "La Bestia" which is a freight train that travels along the coast of Mexico from its southernmost border with Guatemala north to the United States boarder. It was risky and things don't go as easy as either one had hoped it would.
Jaxon is the bad boy that rivals all others, this sexy Kicker for the Carolina Cougars just doesn't know when enough is enough. We have seen him try to steal his teammates girlfriend in Catching Summer by arranging for the ex-girlfriend of the player to be found in his bed by the current girlfriend (that Jax wanted for himself) and had a used condom on the floor to look like they had sex...seriously who does stuff like that?? Jaxon that's who! So he's moved on and is trying to curb his outrageous behavior...like that's even possible...anyway, we saw that he can be a true friend to those he cares about like Hayden Hunter who we met in Defending Hayden along with her boyfriend and his teammate Derek. Now this is Jax's story and I had no clue what to expect.
When Jaxon met Bristol he knew there was something about her he wanted, so he sets out to hook-up with her because that's his MO, just hooking up and moving on, then when he finds out that she's the sister of the new quarterback on the team that he doesn't like he thinks that this would be a perfect way to get back at him. Typical Jax, is he ever going to change?
I am usually a big fan of Jackie Ashenden books but I just couldn't get into this story. Yes there is cheating, which I don't particularly like, but it was more than just that. I enjoy the bad-boy gets the good-girl stories but I think this bad-boy just wasn't my cup of tea. To say that I didn't like Zee would be an understatement, I really, really didn't like him, his dirty mouth was a major turnoff it wasn't sexy as I am sure the author was hoping it would come across, just to vulgar for my taste. That's not to say that someone else may not like it but for me...yeah no thanks!
Now as far as my like/dislike for Tamara, she's outright cheating on her boyfriend, they live in different states but they do see each other often and she knows that marriage is probably in their near future yet she gets involved with Zee without breaking off her relationship first. Then she feels bad about it for maybe a second or two and decides she doesn't care because she wants to be with Zee. Fine then please break off your relationship with your current boyfriend, and hey maybe let Zee know what he's getting into before you go any further.
OK, enough of my ranting. There were some things that I did enjoy about this book, first and foremost is the group of friends that Zee has, they are more like his family than his blood relatives and they have a great bond that I would like to find out more about. I am going to continue with the series and I look forward to reading Gideon's story because I am sure that man has one heck of a past and I know that when he and Zoe finally get together it will be unbelievable!

This is the third book in the Kavanagh series and we get Kane Kavanagh & Nora Hannigan story...yes! These two have been butting heads since Killian, Kane's twin, and Fiona, Nora's Best Friend, got together in Saving a Legend. I had loved watching these two go at it and knew their story would be a good one and I was not disappointed at all.
This story had a couple of twists that were unexpected but overall it added to the character of both Kane and Nora. The bad boy gets the good girl in this sexy, sweet, story of two people finding love when they weren't even looking for it.
We have two Kavanagh brother's left to get their story, Jimmy & Quinn, and maybe we will be lucky enough to get a third book about their cousin. I hope we wont have to wait to long to get our hands on them. All of the Kavanagh men are strong, protective, loving and most of all caring; you can tell a lot about a man in the way he treats his mother and these boys worship the ground their momma walks on.

Logan Hart is on the road quite a bit with his Professional Soccer team so when he back home he likes to kick back and have a few beers with his friends & teammates, and that is exactly what he is doing when his former hookup comes into the bar and plops a baby carrier down on the table and tells Logan that Cinnamon is his daughter and now he has to raise her. First off I was appalled that someone would do such a thing, but who am I kidding crap like that happens all the time. Poor Logan has no idea what to do next so he calls in reinforcements...his sister!
Alec and Theresa have been friends for years and Alec always had feelings for her he even told her that he loved her...but then he took it back....strange yes but you'll understand once you read the story.
Theresa is holding a fundraising bachelor auction and she calls Alec desperate for him to fill a spot in the auction for someone that bailed. Things don't go the way either of them thought they would and it leads us on a journey of funny mishaps and questionable acts. I found myself laughing out loud a few times reading this book.
I enjoyed the relationship that Theresa and Alec had, it was a true friendship that developed into more during a natural progression.
This is the third book in the series and it can be read as a standalone, which is what I did, but I feel that if I had read the first two books I would have known more about the secondary couples and I would have been able to watch the progression of Alec & Theresa's friendship evolve into something more over time.
Miranda is working two jobs to put herself through college to say that she has no time for a relationship would be an understatement, but when Jake the Hot Hockey Player starts flirting with her can she believe that he really wants her and not another notch on his bedpost?
I really enjoyed the way Jake and Miranda interacted and flirted with one another even though they both new that they shouldn't be....well, I need to correct that statement because Miranda is the only one of the two that had doubts because if she got caught her boss would fire her. Jake had his own reasons that he shouldn't be getting involved with anyone and that had to do with the fact that he was "dating" the hockey team's owners' daughter but he didn't care they would just need to keep it a secret. Yep he sort of was...but not really dating someone. If CHEATING is a big no-no for you, you really don't need to worry about that with this story.
This was a sweet story of the rich famous athlete falling for the quite girl that works hard to put herself through college while sharing a tiny apartment with her sister. This may seem like your typical story of rich guy meets poor girl but it's not, it's oh so much more!
Nora is a badass bounty hunter that we met in Take Me Deeper but we didn't know is that she is a Texas Debutante. Yep this badass chick was a debutante, personally I find that a bit hard to believe because WOW what a 180, two totally different lives how does one go from frilly dresses and dances to chasing down the bad guys and waving a gun and badge around?

Andrew and Jenna have a special relationship and such great chemistry it was no secret that they would get together. But the thing you need to know is that it was a rough road for them, how do you go to live with your best friends’ family during your teenage years and promise the dad that you will stay away from the only daughter and then go back on your word? Well, you don't and that is the thing that Andrew has always struggled with.
Christmastime is here so the entire family has gathered to celebrate the holiday, the one thing that no one expected was for Jenna to show up with a boyfriend. The asshat as he is so fondly called by Andrew and Jenna's brothers was such a dull person, I was actually hoping one of the brothers would toss him out on his a$$ but they all behaved nicely, well, as nicely as brothers can. ;)
This was a fun read with some steamy scenes and a great addition to the series.
The part of the book that had me laughing out loud was when they were playing a game called Dirty Mind, I have never heard of this game but now that I have read about it I will be ordering it. HYSTERICAL!!!
